New Curriculum Starts with 3rd Year Apprentices

Below are links to the new curriculum that will be phased in over the next 3 years.  ONLY current 3rd year apprentices will begin this new curriculum

Current 4th and 5th year apprentices will still follow the old schedule of classes

Classes were developed using the DACUM process and input of instructors that attended the curriculum development process.  (Developing a Curriculum (DACUM) is a process that incorporates the use of a focus group in a facilitated storyboarding process to capture the major duties and related tasks included in an occupation.)

3rd Year apprentices have had decide which field they want to concentrate in.  The fields are Plumbing, Pipefitting/Welding or HVACR (Currently dedicated HVACR is only available in ABQ until we can expand it to other locations)

The classes are layed out as;
Core 1 = 1st Year Apprentices
Core 2 = 2nd Year Apprentices
Core 3 = Fall Term 3rd Year Apprentices
3000 Level Classes = 3rd Year Dedicated Spring Classes by Trade
  • PLMB = Plumbing
  • PFWD = Pipefitting/Welding
  • HVAC = HVACR

4000 Level Classes = 4th Year Dedicated Classes by Trade

  • PLMB = Plumbing
  • PFWD = Pipefitting/Welding
  • HVAC = HVACR

5000 Level Classes = 5th Year Dedicated Classes by Trade

  • PLMB = Plumbing
  • PFWD = Pipefitting/Welding
  • HVAC = HVACR
